Here s one collaboration you didn’t see coming.

Justin Bieber and Bryan Adams performed the pop star’s “Baby” at an event for their label Universal Music in Berlin on Tuesday.

The guys delivered a fresh acoustic take on Bieber’s ubiquitous 2010 hit, with Bieber focusing on vocals and Adams on guitar. When the “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” crooner lent his unmistakeable raspy voice to the chorus, Bieber encouraged the audience to sing along and added, “It’s an oldie but a goodie.”

Ludacris wasn’t on hand to deliver his signature rap, but Bieber was happy to take the reins and busted out the lyrics to cheers from the audience.

Both musicians have albums slated for this fall – Adams’ Get Up will drop on Oct. 16 while Bieber’s forthcoming set is due on Nov. 13.

Bieber has been all over the map as he promotes his new single “What Do You Mean?” Earlier this month, he hung out with Jennifer Garner backstage at the Think It Up education event in Los Angeles.
