Julio Iglesias and his longtime girlfriend, Miranda Rijnsburger, are new parents once again, after Rijnsburger gave birth to a son on Saturday.

According to an update on the singer’s Web site, “Guillermo, the fifth child of Julio Iglesias and Miranda Rijnsburger,” arrived May 5 at 6:12 p.m. in Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach, Fla.

He weighed 8 lbs. 7oz. and measured 21″ long. “The childbirth was natural, and was assisted by Doctor Rebeca Martinez and pediatrician Tony Adams,” says the message, which adds, “Both the baby and the mother are fine and in perfect health.”

A source close to Iglesias tells PEOPLE: “The baby is adorable. He doesn t even look like a newborn. He looks looks he’s a few days old. All of his other children were there. They are all so happy. The baby is beautiful. Julio is ecstatic.”

Guillermo is the eighth child for the 63-year-old Spanish heartthrob. He and his Dutch girlfriend, 41, who is an ex-model, have two sons, Miguel Alejandro, 9, and Rodrigo, 7, as well as 5-year-old twin girls, Victoria and Cristina.

Iglesias also has three adult children from his marriage to Isabel Preysler, which was annulled in 1978.

The singer’s rep confirmed the pregnancy to PEOPLE in November.

In an interview with the Times of London in October, Iglesias, known as a legendary seducer, said family life has treated him well. “Yes, it’s true that at 30 I was a crazy guy, living the life,” he said. “But today I want to be seen as what I am, a family man.”
