Director Julian Schnabel, whose speech at the DGA Awards Saturday night was interrupted by actress Sean Young (who later announced she’s seeking treatment) says it’s all water under the bridge.

“It was fine. It was really fine,” the Diving Bell and the Butterfly director tells USA Today.

To recap: Young was escorted out of the ceremony after yelling out for Schnabel to “get on with it” during his acceptance speech. He then exchanged words with the offstage heckler.

“I’m sorry she got taken out of there,” Schnabel adds. “If I had a couple of minutes with her, I could have brought her up on stage and we could have worked it out.”
