There’s a new queen of daytime TV: “Judge Judy” Sheindlin. “Judge Judy” surged past Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Springer and Rosie O’Donnell in the ratings during TV’s February sweeps period. Her Nielsen Media Research numbers are up 60% over last year, while her three biggest rivals’ are down. “People respond to her in the same way they responded to Jesse Ventura,” said Larry Lyttle, president of Big Ticket Television, which produces the show. “There’s a certain attitude and directness and succinctness that people relate to.”
