JoJo Siwa: Five Things to Know About 'Dance Moms' ' Newest Breakout Star

With millions of fans on social media, JoJo Siwa is proving more than just a great dancer

Someone’s following in Maddie Ziegler‘s dance steps.

With more than 21 million YouTube views for her new song ‘Boomerang’ and 2.5 million Instagram followers, JoJo Siwa, the singer and star of Dance Moms, 13, is just getting warmed up for her own Hollywood takeover.

While her recent success in music has many thinking this upcoming season 7 of Dance Moms will be her last, Siwa says she’s not done stealing the show just yet. “This season will be a lot of fun,” she tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. And despite all of the “drama” surrounding coach Abby Lee Miller this season, “It’s has been one of my faves.”

Here, a few things to know about the talented young dancer, singer and social media star:

1. ‘JoJo’ is short for Joelle Joanie

She originally hails from Omaha, Nebraska where she was homeschooled. “I would say it’s my mission in life to make JoJo a star,” mom Jessalyn said when the pair were first introduced on Season 2.

2. She’s confident in her moves and her style

“I should be on Broadway,” Siwa said during her introduction back on Season 2. “You have to sing, you have to dance, you have to speak well, and I’m good at all of those!” As for her platinum blonde locks , she said “I have been dying my hair since I was like 2.”

3. Now, at 13, she’s already an entrepreneur

“I have a bow line coming out in Claire s!” she says of her latest venture based around the signature hair bows that she’s known for. “I m so excited for that!”

4. She’s got a love-fear relationship with coach Abby Lee

“She s tough, but I love her,” says Siwa. “She makes me cry a lot, but you kind of just have to grab some tissues and go back in.”

5. When it comes to her music, she’s got some great influences.

“I really love Meghan Trainor, and how she doesn t care what people think about her,” says Siwa. “She is just going to be herself. Just be yourself, don t listen to the haters. I also like Britney Spears and a little Miley Cyrus.”
