Johnny Depp has made no secret of his rock star aspirations: He’s been spotted onstage with everyone from Ryan Adams to Aerosmith.

Additionally, the actor has maintained a close friendship with shock-rocker Marilyn Manson over the years, even collaborating on a surprising version of Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain.”

So it wasn’t that much of a surprise when Depp appeared onstage with Manson at the latter’s Halloween show at The Roxy in West Hollywood, joining Manson for a rendition of his iconic 1996 song “The Beautiful People.” (The pair were joined by Ninja, of South African rap duo Die Antwoord.)

Par for the course on such a rowdy evening, the clip sees Manson getting a little handsy with Depp, who looks pretty thrilled to be onstage with his pal.

In case you’ve forgotten this bit of Depp lore, he originally moved to Los Angeles to play with the band The Kids – check out this clip of them performing in Florida in 1982.
