Johnny Depp is a man full of surprises.

Following his appearance at Friday’s Disney Legends Awards – where he was inducted as a Disney Legend himself – the actor once again sparked frenzy among fans on Saturday morning at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California.

To much of the audience’s delight, Depp, 52, dressed up as his Pirates of the Caribbean character, Captain Jack Sparrow, to tease the release of the film’s franchise’s latest installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which is scheduled for release on July 7, 2017.

The actor also stayed true to character when addressing those in attendance. Depp as Sparrow turned to Walt Disney Studios President Sean Bailey and asked, “Where are we?” When Bailey offered, “Disneyland,” Depp feigned disdain. “Never heard of it,” he said.

“Anyone allergic to grapes?” he asked, tossing grapes into a roaring crowd. “Don’t pick them up. I hate grapes…”

Leave it to Depp’s on-screen persona to come across as utterly charming, sassy remarks and all.

In other news that will delight Pirates fans – Bailey confirmed that Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush would reprise their roles in the newest installment.
