The 30-year-old actress cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce petition, and is requesting spousal support from Depp, 52, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE. Depp's lawyer, Laura Wasser, filed a response asking the judge to refuse Heard's demand for spousal support. "Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly," a rep for the actor said in a statement to PEOPLE. Less than a week after initiating the divorce, Heard filed a domestic violence restraining order against Depp, submitting a photo of what appears to be a bruise on her right eye as evidence in the claim.
