“Thanks to everyone for their love & support,” Stamos Tweeted on Saturday. “I’m home & well.”
The actor, 51, was pulled over by Beverly Hills Police Department officers at 7:45 p.m. local time after receiving numerous calls about an individual driving erratically, the department confirmed to PEOPLE.
The police then decided that Stamos required medical attention due to a possible medical condition. The Full House star was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He was cited for driving under the influence and released to the care of the hospital.
“Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care,” Stamos continued on Saturday.
Stamos is starring in Fox’s upcoming sitcom Grandfathered and has been producing and promoting Fuller House, a Full House spinoff which will premiere on Netflix next year.
