John Stamos was involved in an altercation Monday with a woman who allegedly became belligerent on a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles, according to reports.

The woman reportedly shook Stamos awake while he was sleeping in first class, took his seat and would not give it back when he went to the restroom, and eventually hit the ER actor several times in the hand, a source tells Access Hollywood.

The woman, who was not identified, then allegedly began screaming and threatening Stamos.

Airline personnel called the FBI when the plane landed, according to KNBC-TV in L.A., which first reported the story.

Laura Eimiller, an FBI spokeswoman, said: “We responded to a verbal altercation on a United flight, but no arrests were made, no charges filed, so no further information will be released.”

Stamos’s rep was unavailable for comment.

Stamos, 44, was reportedly flying back from Chicago after doing some filming for ER.
