John Mayer Says He's 'Ready' to Find His Next Girlfriend: 'I'm More Mature Than I've Ever Been'

Ladies, listen up! John Mayer is ready to find love.

In the past, the singer has had his share of failed romances with a bevy of Hollywood beauties including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Minka Kelly.

But Mayer, 38, says he’s ready for a relationship more than ever.

“I’m ready to roll, I’m more mature than I’ve ever been,” he shared on Tuesday’s Watch What Happens Live when asked about his current dating status.

“The stage is set but I’m excited for a meet cute at some point. I’m single and I’m excited about the future,” Mayer added.

The star appeared on Andy Cohen‘s late night show with his Dead & Company band mate and legendary Grateful Dead singer/guitarist Bob Weir. The pair even surprised Cohen and the viewers with a surprise performance of the 1970 classic “Friend of the Devil.”

Mayer’s last high-profile relationship was an on-off again one with Perry, 31, from summer of 2012 to September 2015. The former couple weathered ups and down that saw them split up more than two times. But in summer 2015, they cozied up at the Grateful Dead’s Independence Weekend show in Chicago. And in September of that year, they attended Allison Williams and Ricky Van Veen’s wedding in Wyoming.
