While a wedding date is still up in the air for Duets star John Legend and fiancée Chrissy Teigen, the engaged couple – since December – are already getting a handle on what they’ll be serving at their reception.
The wedding won’t be for “another year at least, I’ll tell you that,” Teigen told PEOPLE at Tuesday’s 2nd Annual “Summer Party on the High Line” Presented by Coach event in New York City.
Still, to help smooth the process, the couple hired wedding planner Lisa Vorce, of the Oh How Charming! event production firm.
“We have this amazing planner who’s truly wonderful,” Teigen said. “She does a very amazing thing with being rustic-chic. She’s just perfect for us.”
Teigen wants the food to be served family style, “very hearty, like, I think everybody’s going to be knocked out by six [o’clock”], she said.
As it happens, Teigen’s sister will be getting married this fall, in a Vera Wang gown – so what does Teigen plan to wear come her turn to walk down the aisle?
The model found one dress by Monique Lhuillier she “adored” and even purchased online, but Teigen said she’s not going to wear that one – and is still searching for the right dress.
As for setting a date, Teigen says, “Now we’re just insanely busy, both of us which is a good position to be in.”
In the meantime, this Sunday the couple plan to fly to Los Angeles, where Legend will be filming Duets‘s first live show of the season.
