Celebrity Jim Carrey Meets with Late Girlfriend Cathriona White's Family at Her Sherman Oaks Home The visit comes a day after Jim Carrey met with White's family at his Los Angeles home By Jodi Guglielmi Jodi Guglielmi Instagram Twitter Writer-Reporter, PEOPLE People Editorial Guidelines Published on October 2, 2015 10:30 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: FameFlynet Jim Carrey continues to meet with the family of his late girlfriend Cathriona White, following her apparent suicide. Carrey was seen arriving at White’s home in the Los Angeles area Thursday night – the same house where she was pronounced dead on Monday night. The actor was photographed ducking his head in the backseat of a black SUV as his driver pulled up to the property in Sherman Oaks. Carrey held up cardboard boxes to shield himself from the photographers. This comes just one day after Carrey met with White’s sister, Lisa, at his Los Angeles home. “Jim has been at his Brentwood home for the past few days and Cathriona’s sister visited him last night for an hour,” a source reveals. White’s stepmother and sister flew to Los Angeles on Tuesday to make arrangements to bring White’s body back to her home in Ireland. “It’s a terrible journey for her [step]mother to have to make. Everybody is hoping that her body can be returned home quickly now,” a close family friend told PEOPLE. White left Ireland four or five years ago to move to the United States and study Scientology. She was enrolled in a Survival Rundown course at the time of her death. Lisa had last visited her sister in August, and White shared several pictures of her and Lisa’s husband on Instagram. Carrey issued an emotional note on Tuesday saying he’s “deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona” – and also honored the woman he’s been linked to for the past three years. “She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled,” the actor said in a statement. “My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her.” According to Los Angeles Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, Carrey’s name was included in the suicide note found on the scene. There were also pills located near her body.
