She’s almost a week past her due date, but Jill (Duggar) Dillard is calm as she anticipates the arrival of her first child – a boy – with husband Derick Dillard.
“I’m feeling great,” the mom-to-be, 23, said in a video posted to the Duggar family’s Facebook page on Monday.
The couple celebrated the one-year anniversary of Derick proposing to Jill on Sunday.
“One year ago I got down and proposed to Jill,” Derick says in the video.
“And I said, ‘Yes, totally!’ ” Jill says with a laugh.
“And now, nine months later, we’re expecting out first, and we’re actually five days overdue,” Derick continues. “He could come at any moment It’s a matter of time right now.”
The 19 Kids and Counting star says that she’s trying to keep up with exercising, and is walking and eating healthy. Something that Derick is helping her with.
“I’ll try and add up her protein every day, make sure we’re getting 60 to 80 grams of protein,” he explains. “At the same time you don’t want to get too much because you don’t want to have a 10 lb. baby.”
But Jill doesn’t seem phased by it and laughs as she pats her large baby bump, saying, “We’ll see whenever baby Dilly makes his appearance.”
Jill also shared a cute pic on Instagram on Sunday commemorating Derick’s proposal.
“One year ago today, the sweetest man in the whole world asked me to marry him! I said ‘yes, totally!’ ” she wrote. “Now, 9 months into marriage we await the arrival of our little #babydilly”
