Jewel’s Atlantic Records debut “Pieces of You” has sold 11 million copies, becoming one of the five best-selling albums of all time by a female artist, according to October figures from the Recording Industry Association of America. Jewel ties Shania Twain’s Mercury Records Nashville disc “The Women in Me.” Alanis Morissette’s Maverick debut “Jagged Little Pill” leads the femme all-time and Diamond certifications at 16 million, followed by Whitney Houston’s Arista Records offering “Whitney Houston” and Twain’s “Come on Over,” which are both certified at 13 million units.
