McCarthy insists she's not stressing out about her upcoming nuptials with Donnie Wahlberg
She’s not revealing the time or the place, but the color scheme for Jenny McCarthy‘s wedding will be a classic one.
“I think I’m doing the black-and-white theme,” she said. “Not to follow the Kardashians, but maybe I am following the Kardashians. I just think it’s elegant and pretty.”
Kim Kardashian, of course, married Kanye West in a lavish a black-tie affair in May. McCarthy’s wedding to New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg won’t be as over-the-top. In fact, she says she’s taking the wedding planning all in stride.
“I’m so not [a bridezilla]. I feel like I’m a dude,” she told PEOPLE Friday. “I just want to show up. I have Lee Press-On Nails. I’m not that kind of girl. I don’t care, as long as the heart is in the ceremony, that’s all that matters to me. I could get married in a Kentucky Fried Chicken.”
Though the wedding is “soon,” McCarthy, 41, put the planning on hold Friday as she hung out at Palazzo Las Vegas’s Azure Pool. With temperatures topping 100 degrees, McCarthy relaxed in a VIP bungalow with friends. After about 30 minutes, Wahlberg, incognito in a fedora, arrived prompting the couple to share a deep kiss.
Shortly afterwards Wahlberg, 44, had to run along, as he and his group are in Vegas performing a series of shows. McCarthy has been busy, too. Even though she’s leaving The View, she has another project in the works that she will reveal on Monday.
With all this, wedding planning may be the least stressful project for her, but truth be told, it’s still not easy.
“The hardest part is we have to cut down the wedding list, because the place we’re getting married at, it’s very boutique,” she said. “With Donnie’s 800 relatives – yes, 800. I’ve got 6,000 McCarthys. It’s going to be hard to really cut down that list so I’m trying to make sure the core group is there.”
