Jennifer Hudson just gave the ultimate wedding gift.

The singer, 33, surprised a same-sex couple with a special performance at their wedding at the W Dallas-Victory hotel in Texas on Wednesday.

“I’m very connected to the gay community, and it’s something I’m passionate about,” Hudson told PEOPLE last year of partnering with W Hotels Worldwide and the Human Rights Campaign to support LGBT marriage equality through their TURN IT UP FOR CHANGE program. “It only makes sense. This is my way of returning it.”

In a show of support for the campaign, the actress decided to crash the lucky couple’s wedding. After the vows were exchanges in front of family and friends, Hudson popped out from behind a curtain and sang her hit song, “I Still Love You,” off of her latest album JHUD. Both grooms, as well as all the wedding guests, were thrilled and got on their feet to sing and dance.

The surprise performance comes after the landmark decision last month by the Supreme Court to legalize gay marriage in all 50 states.

The happy grooms, who have been together for 14 years, share four children together.
