Jennie Garth's Wedding Album: a Down-Home (and DIY!) Celebration
A NEW BEGINNING
Here's your meet-cute: Jennie Garth and Dave Abrams began their romance last fall after going on a blind date – and it didn't take long for things to become serious. "I threw him in 100 percent, and he fit in without missing a beat," Garth tells PEOPLE of introducing her now-husband to her three children with ex-spouse Peter Facinelli. "It's not about me anymore," says Abrams. "Jennie puts the kids first in everything, and I fell in love with her because of that."
When it came time to prep the reception area for their July 11 wedding, the couple happily turned to DIY (mainly Garth, who calls herself a DIY fanatic). Among their Pinterest-worthy wedding touches: hand-painted signs, flowers freshly picked from Garth's garden and plenty of lanterns hung throughout the space.
JENNIE & DAVE
The 90210 alum married actor Abrams on July 11 in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends outside Los Angeles. Garth's three daughters, Luca, Lola and Fiona, all played a significant role in the special occasion, which the couple described to PEOPLE as "the perfect night!"
To highlight the delicious dishes at the ceremony, menus with the newlyweds' initials rested at each place setting. The menus, designed by Wedding Paper Divas, listed starter and dinner options.
A DOWN-HOME AFFAIR
When it came down to the food, Garth and Abrams chose a laid-back approach, opting for a family-style setup complete with homemade pies, turkey bacon hushpuppies, polenta cornbread and farmhouse chicken (fried and barbecued). A banana cream pie replaced a traditional wedding cake. (Are you drooling, too?)
