Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli are officially over.

The pair’s divorce was finalized on Tuesday, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. They first filed in March 2012.

The split, which is amicable, gives both parties with 50-50 custody of their three daughters: Luca Bella, 15, Lola Ray, 10, and Fiona Eve, 6½. There is no formal custody arrangement, and the parents have funded a joint bank account for their girls. Both declined spousal support.

At the time of the split, Garth, 41, told PEOPLE she was “very resistant” to part from Facinelli, 39, to whom she’d been married since 2001.

“I didn’t want it to happen,” she said. “It took me some time to come to peace with it.”

Garth eventually went on to date other men, and has most recently been linked to Big Gigantic drummer Jeremy Salken.

Facinelli has been seen with actress Jaimie Alexander.
