Jenna Lyons, the quirky J. Crew trendsetter who has been praised by Michelle Obama and whose closet was featured on Oprah, is making a different kind of splash lately – in the gossip columns.

According to the New York Post, the company’s creative director/president split over the summer from Vincent Mazeau, her husband of nine years, for another woman.

Thursday’s Post identifies her as “Courtney Crangi, 38, the business brains behind her brother, hip celebrity jeweler Philip Crangi.”

Lyons, 43, who makes more than $5 million a year, has been reportedly fighting over her finances and custody of their young son Beckett. Lyons stirred up controversy last spring for appearing in a J. Crew ad in which she’s painting Beckett’s toenails pink.

The Post says the couple reached a custody agreement and are figuring out a settlement that may grant Mazeau the couple’s sought-after Brooklyn townhouse that has been featured in magazines.

J. Crew declined to comment.
