Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Mark Sanchez Cozy Up at the Tonys

The actress and NFL star make it a date night at the award show in NYC

Here’s a match made in New Jersey heaven.

After initially denying they were a couple, The Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler and her NFL beau Mark Sanchez stepped out for a date night at Sunday’s Tony Awards in NYC, where the two hit the red carpet before he hit the stage to introduce a song from Memphis.

Sanchez, 23, and Sigler, 29, reportedly started dating at the end of April after meeting at the Tribeca Film Festival, though the New York Jets quarterback was quick to dispel any rumors they were more than just friends.

“She’s a sweetheart, we’ve hung out across New York,” he told radio station KLAC in Los Angeles in May. “She’s a great girl, but I mean she could probably do much better than me.”

Sigler, who split with Jerry Ferrara in December 2009, and Sanchez were also spotted catching the Broadway play Race, the New York Post reported.

But it turns out the Broadway aficionado in this couple isn’t who many would think it is.

“I’ve become a huge fan of musicals since I’ve come to New York,” Sanchez, a California native who played for USC, said on stage at Radio City Music Hall Sunday night, adding that, yes, he has “taken some heat from the guys on the team, believe me.”

Older brother and agent Nick Sanchez even revealed the NFL star recently drove around New Jersey in his car belting the In the Heights soundtrack. “He sings all the songs, knows all the words. He really does enjoy it,” he told a WSJ blog.

Up next for the couple: Even more Broadway date nights, according to Nick, who says his younger brother is planning a get-together with his football buddies and their wives to see a show.
