James Corden Leads Stars Supporting Kim Kardashian After Paris Robbery: 'Be Nice or Shut Up'
“People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she’s a mother, a daughter, a wife, a friend. Be nice or shut up,” James Corden tweeted Sunday night.
Kardashian, 35, was held at gunpoint early Monday morning by masked men dressed as police officers.
French news outlet BFM TV reports that five men entered the No Address Hotel around 2:30 a.m. and tied Kardashian West up, locking her in a bathroom. The outlet reports that the men made off with about $10 million worth of jewelry, including a $4 million ring.
Stars flooded Twitter with condolences for the mom of two, with Kardashian West’s longtime friend Chrissy Teigen defending the woman against social media trolls.
“No one is begging you for sympathy. I know the game plan is to naturally hate celebrities,” Teigen tweeted in response to a fan who wrote, “No one likes robbery at gunpoint. Then again should people feel sorry for someone who owns millions of $ in jewelry alone?”
Earlier, Teigen tweeted: “Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you’d make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets.”
Kardashian West’s rep told PEOPLE that the reality star is “badly shaken but physically unharmed.”
