"He's really changed my life," Alexander tells PEOPLE of her husband-to-be
“We’re just having fun, and we just take life in stride, and we’re having fun being engaged and just enjoying life,” Alexander, 31, told PEOPLE on Thursday at Maybelline New York’s 100-year anniversary party in New York City, adding that they haven’t begun to plan their big day yet.
“We’re both very busy people, and we want to make sure that when we get married, we actually have the right amount of time to spend with family and friends because it’s gonna be such a fun celebration.”
Sure enough, both have rather full plates: Alexander is currently in New York for the Upfronts to promote her NBC drama Blindspot (she also swung by Entertainment Weekly and PEOPLE’s bash Monday night!). Meanwhile, Facinelli, 41, is starring in NBC’s American Odyssey.

But has life changed since the Twilight alum popped the question at the top of the Empire State Building?
“No, and I think that’s the most important thing. It doesn’t feel any different or like anything’s changed. We’re still best friends,” says Alexander, who called her husband-to-be “my super-hot date” at the Maybelline event.
As for what Thor star Alexander is looking forward to most in spending the rest of her life with her best friend: “Just [spending] every day with him. He’s really changed my life. Him and his children have made me a better person,” she adds of his kids (with ex Jennie Garth), Luca, 17, Lola, 12, and Fiona, 8.
“Without trying to sound cliché, he’s an amazing person.”
