America’s Got Talent alum Jackie Evancho has returned with a new song – and it might sound pretty familiar. The vocal wunderkind, 15, has recorded a stunning cover of Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars’ “Safe and Sound,” and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look and listen. Inspired by The Hunger Games – the film for which Swift and The Civil Wars originally recorded the track – the clip finds Evancho serving up some Katniss Everdeen realness even Jennifer Lawrence would be proud of. While she’s best known for operatic covers of classics, this latest release marks a contemporary departure for the singer. Evancho’s version of “Safe and Sound” is available for purchase in the iTunes Store Friday.
