James Corden is partially to thank for the iPhone 7’s launch – seriously!

The Late Late Show host aided in transporting Apple CEO Tim Cook to the company’s fall product launch with the latest edition of Carpool Karaoke.

With Corden behind the wheel – as always – the duo danced to OneRepublic and talked fashion en route to the California event.

The pair even consulted Siri on her opinion of Apple’s fearless leader. Spoiler alert: it’s favorable.

“He’s wonderful but scheduling his appointments is crazy,” the program responded.

The fun didn’t stop with the quirky, light-up glasses Corden forced Cook to wear – and Pharrell Williams also popped in for the commute.

Together, the threesome sang along to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s hit “Sweet Home Alabama” – a nod to Cook’s birth state.

Once Williams and Corden were out of the picture, Cook kicked off the highly anticipated event, announcing the latest iteration of Apple’s popular mobile devices.

The iPhone 7 Features

The new iPhone’s most notable features include dual cameras and water-resistancy.

Made of “mirror-like” aluminum in an array of five colors, iPhone 7’s front camera has seven megapixels, and the back 12 megapixels. The new double back camera will allow for better zoom capabilities.

For non-photographers hoping to use their phone for mainly music, the new speakers will certainly impress. The iPhone 7 has stereo speakers at both the top and bottom of the device, promising double the volume level of previous models.

Users can also take advantage of longer battery life: a whopping 1-2 hours more than the iPhone 6 and its predecessors.

Apple has also ditched the headphone jack, instead introducing wireless earbuds called AirPods. The $159 buds will be sold separately, starting in October. Until then, a provided adapter will allow phone users to keep their old, wired headphones.

The phone will be equipped with iOS 10 and include an updated home button.

The Series 2 Apple Watch Features
The Apple Watch has also gotten a reboot, complete with gaming sensation Pokémon Go, which will now be available on the wrist device.

Apple Watch Series 2 is also waterproof, and now comes with GPS. A separate new watch, branded as Nike Plus, is geared toward fitness fanatics. It integrates with Nike Plus’ Run Club as well as Siri.

Twitter Reactions
Naturally, Twitter had some thoughts about the new Apple gear.
