Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have played coy about their budding relationship – until the pair went public with their PDA during an Entertainment Weekly party at Comic-Con on Saturday.

After arriving together around midnight at Float Bar inside the Hard Rock Hotel, the Vampire Diaries actor and The Twilight Saga actress held each other’s faces and were kissing sweetly and passionately.

The new couple later headed to a booth where they hung out with a group of friends. One person they managed to miss running into at the party? Somerhalder’s ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, who was spotted dancing with – and briefly kissing – Baby Daddy‘s Derek Theler.

Somerhalder split from his Vampire Diaries costar in 2013 after dating for several years, but Dobrev doesn’t seem to be dwelling on the past. The night before cozying up to Theler, she was seen getting close to Orlando Bloom, at Friday’s Playboy and A&E party.

“They were casually flirting and dancing,” a source says of Dobrev and Bloom, who separated from wife Miranda Kerr in October. “Nina got to the event around 10 p.m. And Orlando showed up around 11. They both stayed almost to the very end at midnight. He was adamant that he did not want to take any photos. However, when he was escorted to the VIP section and Nina came over to his table, he then decided to take a photo with her. Nina and Orlando were clearly tipsy. They even left the party together.”

But a source says Dobrev and Bloom are not an item.

“They’re not together. They were at a party with their manager, whom they share. It’s nonsense,” the source tells PEOPLE.

Somerhalder has been linked to a number of ladies since splitting from Dobrev, but at the Friday bash, he only had eyes for Reed, who recently split from husband Paul McDonald. The pair stayed close all night.

The Game of Thrones gang – Rose Leslie, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and Gwendoline Christie – also attended, and creator George R. R. Martin spoke with many fans from his booth.

The close-knit casts of Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D and new sister show Agent Carter really enjoyed the party, dancing and laughing all night.

Meanwhile, Gotham‘s Ben McKenzie, The Vampire Diaries‘s Kat Graham and former House of Cards actor Corey Stoll – in San Diego to promote the latest addition to Marvel’s superhero franchise, Ant Man – broke into an impromptu mini dance party while chatting.
