What do an outspoken comedian and an unconventional pop star have in common? Just about everything.

“I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I am you. You are me,’ ” Katy Perry says about fiancé Russell Brand in the August issue of Esquire.

But having a partner who’s so much like her doesn’t exactly mean there’s going to be total harmony in the relationship – because, as Perry, 25, blatantly puts it, “[we are] two divas in one house.”

“It’s like splitting the atom: it shouldn’t happen,” she adds.

Still, the bride-to-be thinks she and the Brit funnyman are a perfect fit and she’ll take credit for taming Brand, 35, who has spoken out about his sex and drug addiction in the past.

“He used to basically be a professional prostitute – now he’s not,” says Perry. “He’s an extremist, which can be both good and bad. I always needed someone stronger than me and I am, like, a [expletive] strong elephant of a woman. I say that hopefully in the humblest way I can.”

That strength was on full display when the two first met.

“I was 25, 30 feet away from him. And I threw the bottle straight at him. Hit him smack dab on the head,” she recalls. “Can you imagine the horrible feeling he had, when he was used to getting everything he wanted? I was like, ‘You’ve met your match.’ ”
