Tim Allen’s wife, Laura Deibel, moved to end her sixteen-year marriage to the “Home Improvement” actor yesterday in Los Angeles. In her petition for divorce, Deibel cited irreconcilable differences and asked for custody of the couple’s nine-year old daughter, Kady. The couple met during college at Western Michigan University and married in 1984, two years after Allen’s release from prison for selling cocaine. Deibel, a landscape designer, also stood by Allen following his 1997 arrest for impaired driving and his short stint in alcohol rehab in 1998. Allen, who rose to fame with his “men are pigs” stand-up act, can soon be heard reprising his role of Buzz Lightyear in “Toy Story 2.”
