Two articles of clothing once worn by Marilyn Monroe — including one of her old brassieres and the pink pantsuit she donned for “The Seven-Year Itch” — as well as gowns worn by Lucille Ball and Cher are hitting the auction block, with the bidding to begin on the Internet on Friday. The Associated Press reports that former child star Jane Withers, who costarred as the brat opposite sweet Shirley Temple in “Bright Eyes” (but who became better known on ’60s and ’70s TV commercials as Josephine the Plumber), is opening her vault and putting a big “For Sale” sign on it. “At one point in my life I had nine warehouses full of movie memorabilia,” the actress, 74, said yesterday. “This collection has been a joy to have in my life, and I want to share with everyone what I have preserved all these years.”
