Even celebrities quake in the presence of Beyoncé‘s greatness.

Holly Holm, who de-throned Ronda Rousey to become the women’s bantamweight Ultimate Fighting Champion earlier this month, said upon meeting Jay Z and Queen Bey, she asked the pop star’s name. Really.

Holm told Albuquerque’s KRQE News 13 that she was invited to the the couple’s private viewing party at last Saturday’s Canelo Alvarez and Miguel Cotto fight in Las Vegas, Nevada, after being mobbed by fans inside the arena.

“I meet Jay Z and he says, ‘This is my wife,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh, hi, what’s your name?’ Because that’s what I do when I meet someone’s wife,” Holm, 34, shared. “And as I’m shaking her hand, I’m thinking, ‘Why did I just say that? Why did I just say that? It’s Beyoncé.'”

Holm said she was so embarrassed that she couldn’t even focus on the ensuing conversation with the rapper because she’d “just put my foot in my mouth.”

“And I literally have to interrupt him, I’m like, ‘I’m really sorry,’ ” she told KRQE. “And I go back to Beyoncé, and I’m like, ‘Beyoncé, like, I can’t believe I just did that.’ Yeah, she goes, ‘Oh, no it’s fine.’ I’m like, ‘No, like, I really, really – it’s like such an honor to meet you.’ ”

Holm, known by fans as The Preacher’s Daughter, re-shared the story on Sports Center, Tuesday, adding that after the words “What’s your name?” left her mouth she tried to “pull” them back.

Some people just can’t handle the ***Flawless star.
