Break out the bubbly and the rum to create a beverage that's both naughty and nice
In case you haven’t already mailed in your wish list to Santa Claus, here’s a little something that may be worth a spot underneath your Christmas tree this year: a tasty cocktail.
And like your letter to North Pole’s favorite resident, this concoction is sealed with a postage stamp. Whip this rum and champagne-based drink up as a lighter (but equally satisfying) alternative to eggnog. We think Ol’ St. Nick would approve.
• 2 parts gold rum (recipe recommends Bacardi Gold Rum)
• ½ part freshly squeezed lime juice
• 1 heaped tsp. honey
• Champagne to top
• Cubed ice
Pour the rum, lime juice and honey into a mixing glass. Stir to dissolve the honey. Add ice and mix well. Top up with Champagne. Garnish glass with a postage stamp (optional).
