After a roller-coaster year, actress and singer Hilary Duff is happier than ever. Subscribe now for an inside look at what her life is like now and to learn all about her new favorite costar, only in PEOPLE!

New TV show, new hair – and now new music!

On Monday, Hilary Duff released her new single, “Sparks,” the latest single on her forthcoming fifth studio album, which is set for a summer releases.

This isn’t the first new song from the actress-singer, who stars in TV Land’s new series Younger opposite Sutton Foster. Last summer, she released “Chase the Sun” (and flaunted her fit bikini bod in its music video), then followed it up with “All About You” in the fall.

Unlike the aforementioned tracks, which had more of a folk-pop vibe, “Sparks” is a dance-pop ditty, which makes sense looking at the credits: It was written by Swedish electro artist Tove Lo, who broke out in the United States last year with her ubiquitous confessional “Habits (Stay High).”

Duff’s upcoming album will be her first in eight years. Since 2007’s Dignity, the artist married hockey player Mike Comrie in 2010. The pair welcomed son Luca in 2012 before separating and then filing for divorce in February.
