Hilary Duff Mourns Death of Her Dog Beau: 'I Am Shattered in a Million Pieces'

Hilary Duff is grieving the loss of her French bulldog, Beau.

The Younger actress informed fans of her beloved pet’s passing on Instagram Tuesday with a touching dedication.

“It’s really true that we never know what the day will bring us,” Duff, 28, wrote. “I am shattered in a million pieces today because my baby Frenchie Beau has gone to doggy heaven this afternoon.”

The mother of one brought home Beau in November 2014 to add to her four-legged family, including Bernese Mountain dog Dubois.

“I can’t fathom never holding his heavy little head in my hands with his two big eyes looking at me again,” the singer added.

“Remember every day to be grateful for what we have that makes our hearts happy and full. My naughty boy I will miss you so. Heart. Broken.”

On the day of Beau’s death, Duff was busy promoting the second season of her TV Land series Younger in New York City.
