Katy Perry‘s “Roar” has rocked 2013. The song is one of YouTube’s most popular videos and has served as the soundtrack for many touching moments. Now “Roar” has done it again.

Students at Canadian high school Ursuline College used the pop anthem in their uplifting video for a classmate. Tenth grader Sophia Vlasman, a member of the school’s basketball and cheerleading teams, was recently diagnosed with cancer.

To show their support for Vlasman’s fight, the student’s friends recruited the entire school to lip-sync along to Perry’s hit. The video’s winding tracking shot starts with a few of Vlasman’s friends, the group gradually growing until all of Ursuline College is rooting and roaring for Vlasman.
