Will he be on his best behavior?

A year after his infamous outburst, in which he stole the microphone and cut off Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech, Kanye West is returning to the Video Music Awards, MTV has announced.

The rapper, 33, is slated to perform on the Sept. 12 MTV award show. Drake and four-time nominee Florence + The Machine will also hit the stage.

“Just met with MTV and it’s about to go down! VMA’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” West Tweeted Thursday.

The first batch of confirmed presenters include Penn Badgley, Selena Gomez, Ne-Yo, Emma Stone, Nicki Minag and Trey Songz.

Lady Gaga, with a record-breaking 13 nominations, and Eminem lead the pack of nominees. Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Beyoncé and Justin Bieber are also up for Moonman awards.

Fans can vote for several categories, including best new artist and video of the year, on VMA’s Web site.
