Hi! I’m Harley Pasternak.

Most of you probably know me as the 5 Factor Fitness guy who specializes in getting Hollywood red carpet ready.

From sexy singers like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys, to stunning Hollywood A-Listers such as Megan Fox, Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried, Jessica Simpson, Ashley Greene, Minka Kelly, Milla Jovavich and Hilary Duff, my team and I have transformed the bodies of more than 250 actors and musicians.

What you may not know is how I’ve also spent the last 25 years as an exercise and nutrition scientist for the military, a talk show host and an author. I’ve designed exercise video games, running shoes, healthy beverages and workout equipment. Now, I can add “PEOPLE.com blogger” to my job description (and just in time for the annual Hottest Bodies package, too)!

I’m so excited to be part of the biggest and best entertainment site where I can share all my methods, recipes, exercises and tips that I use to tone Rihanna’s legs, Megan’s arms, Gaga’s abs and Amanda’s butt.

Let’s get started:

People always ask me if there was one thing they could do today to change the way they look and feel, what would it be. The answer is simple: Walk.

To be exact, I want you to walk 10,000 steps a day.

Get yourself a pedometer. It’s an inexpensive device that fits in your pocket or clips on your pants and counts your steps. Recent research shows walking slowly throughout the day is better for burning fat than 45 minutes of intense cardio. So start parking your car a little further away, take the stairs, and get off the subway one stop earlier.

Before you know it, you’ll be red carpet ready, without breaking the bank (or your body)! Check back every Wednesday for more insider tips on Hollywood’s hottest bodies, and how to get one yourself.
