O Canada, thanks for all the celebs!

In honor of Canada Day, and in celebration of all the eh-listers who made it in showbiz, how aboot a little shout out to some of our favourite stars to come from Canada.

Justin Bieber: Pop’s hair-flipping wonder boy hails from Stratford, Ontario. The 16-year-old made the migration to the states in 2008 when he signed with Usher at Island Records, and now primarily lives in Atlanta.

Ryan Reynolds: Before he met wife Scarlett Johansson, the actor, 33, made his Canadian TV debut in the 90’s Nickelodeon series Hillside, known as Fifteen in the U.S.

Shania Twain: Twain, 44, proved country music isn’t just an all-American-cowgirl thing. The recently divorced diva eventually took her gig from Timmins, Ontario, to Nashville in 1993 with the release of her self-titled debut album.

Anna Paquin: The fang-tastic True Blood star, 27, was born in Winnipeg, Canada, although she moved to New Zealand when she was 4 years old. She’s settled into Bon Temps now just fine, too.

Rachel McAdams: Before she was a Mean Girl, McAdams lived in London, Ontario, and graduated with honors in drama from Toronto’s York University.
