Blake Shelton has definitely got a lasso around Gwen Stefani‘s heart.

Stefani admitted that she’s “having lots of fun” with the country crooner after host Ellen DeGeneres coyly questioned her about the pair’s hot new romance on her show, Friday.

“I’m in a good place. I’m having a lot of fun,” she said. “It’s like a whole new life, a whole new chapter. It’s been so great to be on The Voice and be around all that music.”

Another great thing about The Voice? Working with her boyfriend.

“I didn’t even know who he was before I was on the show,” Stefani admitted, laughing. “Before I was on The Voice I had never heard of him before. I didn’t, I hadn’t. I’m an O.C. girl, what would I know?”

The cute new couple’s relationship was first confirmed in early November, and a source told PEOPLE they’re already planning to spend at least one of the upcoming holidays together.

While Stefani happily revealed Shelton’s penchant for ’80s music (“He’s literally like a musical jukebox,” she said), the star wasn’t so quick to answer another of DeGeneres’ prodding questions.

“And he’s a good kisser?” the 57-year-old asked.

Unfortunately, Stefani had no comment.

The appearance came just a few weeks after Stefani performed her emotional single “Used to Love You” on Ellen, a tune inspired by her divorce from Gavin Rossdale.

“It was super emotional, I even think I sang one of the lyrics wrong,” she said on Friday, adding that music is “comforting” for her.

“It makes me feel, like validates me as a person,” she said. “If I can write a song, you know, it’s like ‘yes!'”
