Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are officially a couple, and she’s opening up about their new romance for the first time.

“He’s a pretty rad guy, I have to say that,” Stefani, 46, told #Uncorked hosts Leigh Ann and Courtney from Dallas/Fort Worth radio station 103.7 KVIL, according to ET.

“There’s been loads of people that have helped me with this tragedy,” the mother-of-three said of her divorce from Gavin Rossdale. “There’s definitely key people that have pointed me into the right direction. Blake really helped me.”

The Voice duo made their first appearance as a couple at a CMA Awards afterparty on Wednesday.

The Used To Love You singer insisted she tried to keep her new romance private. When asked about their relationship going public, Stefani retorted: “We didn’t! Like, somebody did. That’s what’s so crazy like, who announces that? Why would I do that?”

Shelton, 39, filed for divorce from Miranda Lambert on July 6 in Oklahoma. Their separation was finalized quickly as a prenup was set in place. Stefani and Rossdale announced their split weeks later.

Another Voice co-star has been by Stefani’s side. “Not to change the subject, but it’s kinda on the same subject, Pharrell was literally like a guardian angel,” she added.

Stefani’s radio interview will air on Monday at 4 p.m. CT.
