Actress Melanie Griffith, 43, who yesterday divulged that her physician had sent her into rehab, will be sharing her recovery efforts online, reports PEOPLE. “We’re going to make sure we educate people,” Liz Edlic, Griffith’s partner at OneWorldLive.com, told the magazine for its Nov. 27 issue. In a statement released Tuesday, Griffith said, “My doctor has referred me to the Daniel Freeman Hospital to step down from the prescribed medication that I have been taking for a neck injury.” The “Working Girl” Oscar nominee, whose husband is Antonio Banderas (her fourth marriage, after she married Don Johnson twice), has apparently experienced occasional agony in the neck during the two years she has been taking stretching classes. Her fitness instructor, Mari Winsor, told PEOPLE: “The neck has been an issue ever since I’ve known her.” Griffith, says the magazine, is due to stay one week at the Freeman hospital. Patients at the nonprofit Catholic facility, located in the Marina del Rey section of Los Angeles, usually follow a 12-step program that includes time devoted to fellowship and reading.
