Your grandma is many things. Loving, caring, a baking whiz. But “pioneering hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash” is probably not one of those things.

Which is strange, because non-tech-savvy grandmothers across the world have accidentally been tagging themselves as Flash in Facebook wall posts for a while now. It’s a weird trend, but it’s pretty wonderful.

See, typing in “Grandma” automatically brings up Flash’s Facebook page in any text field on Facebook, and when your grandma hits enter, well let’s just say Grandmaster Flash hopes you got those cookies he sent you.

How we know the phenomenon has hit critical mass: There’s already a Tumblr devoted to it, called Love, Grampa and Grandmaster Flash.

The best part of the meme? Grandmaster Flash is cool with it.

Looks like there’s space for some white hair alongside the “White Lines.”
