The children visit him on Tuesday nights for dinner, as well as every other weekend, and he maintains "civil" text conversations with Kate over logistics and planning. He keeps busy with IT contract jobs and dabbles in sales with Advance Trade. "If a TV gig happens for me, great. If it happens for Kate, yay. In a recession you can't be choosy," he tells PEOPLE.
