Good Morning America host Charles Gibson is a grandfather for the first time.

His daughter, Jessica, and her husband, Robert Rosen, welcomed a son on Tuesday, Andrew Reece Gibson Rosen, reports the New York Post, which quotes a rep as saying: “Mom, dad and baby are doing fine. Grandfather is a basket case.”

The parents reportedly met while working for the White House.

Meanwhile, reports the New York Observer, Gibson, who turned 63 last Thursday, is being pushed to fill Bob Woodruff’s ABC World News Tonight anchor chair by Gibson’s GMA co-anchor, Diane Sawyer. Earlier reports said that Sawyer herself had been angling for the job.

Woodruff is currently recovering from serious injuries sustained during a bombing in Iraq.
