Giuliana Rancic After Cancer: More Junk Food & Less Exercise
The Fashion Police costar says, "Llife is to be enjoyed, not to be spent in the gym every day"
“Life is to be enjoyed, not to be spent in the gym every day and not to be counting your calories,” Rancic says on HuffPost Live.
Asked how she’s changed her lifestyle post-cancer, the Fashion Police costar, 39, confesses she’s become more relaxed about healthy eating and fitness.
“What’s so funny is I’ve changed it quite drastically, the way I live and what I eat and how I exercise, but the opposite way you would think,” she says. “Before I got the breast cancer I was actually pretty diligent about my diet and what I ate and I tried to eat very healthy foods and whole grains and tried to exercise every day.”
She adds, “I think you go one of two ways. Some people, I think it was Christina Applegate who said that she became very diligent about her health afterwards … I kinda went the other way. On my way here I ate a sandwich in the car; I eat lots of bread and different things and I don’t exercise as much.”
Rancic also says that she’s proud to be identified as a “cancer survivor.”
“Going public, I thought about … will the first thing people read about me be, ‘cancer survivor,’ and now, two years in, I think to myself, ‘You know what? Great!’ “
