Even supermodel Gisele Bündchen doesn’t believe in perfection.

The Brazilian beauty posted an inspirational quote to Instagram on Tuesday and translated it into her native Portuguese: “Nobody is perfect. But you can’t keep using that as an excuse to do wrong or not try to improve.”

Though the mom of two frequently shares uplifting messages social media, it’s hard to ignore the quote’s significance in the wake of her husband Tom Brady‘s “Deflategate” scandal.

The New England Patriots quarterback was accused of tampering with game balls in last year’s AFC championship, but a judge threw out his four-game suspension earlier this month. And Miss America Betty Cantrell discussed the controversy during the pageant over the weekend and suggested he cheated, angering plenty of Pats fans.

As for their marriage, Bündchen, 35, and Brady, 38, are going strong.

“We’re in a great place, I’ll just say that,” the football star told a Boston-area radio station recently. “I’m a lucky man. I’ve been very blessed with support from my family and certainly her, and there’s no bigger supporter that I have than her and vice versa. I’ve been very blessed to have an incredible relationship with my life partner, and I don’t think anything will ever get in the way of that.”

And when the Patriots played their season opener Thursday, a smiling Bündchen supported her man in the stands.
