Celebrity 7-Year-Old Girl with Rare Disease Creates Dance Videos to Rare Awareness By Caitlin Keating Published on May 19, 2016 10:00 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Instead of a 7-year-old succumbing to a rare disease that has no cure, she’s decided to raise awareness about it by creating videos of her in Zumba class, dancing and doing karaoke. 7-year-old Audrey Nether from Louisville, Kentucky, was born with Diamond-Blackfan Anemia, a bone marrow failure disorder where the body doesn’t produce red blood cells. Because there is no cure, her father, Scott Nether, started posting videos of her and before he knew it, he had calls coming in from around the world. “We had a lot of people reaching out and saying, ‘Hey, we live in Mexico and Brazil, California’ all over the world saying we want to help,” he told WLKY.
