Amid the drama of firing her manager Jordan Feldstein (Jonah Hill‘s brother), Sara Bareilles found a moment to share new music.

The “Brave” singer retweeted a cover of her song “Hercules” by fan Lilly Brown. In the clip, Brown appears cloned as three musicians crooning and playing instruments along to the tune. On her YouTube page, the crafty cover artist shared how she made 1 become 3.

“I recorded each instrument one by one on GarageBand while also filming,” writes Brown. “Without moving the camera, I would move on to the next instrument. I used Final Cut at my school to crop the frames together, then on top of everything I recorded extra vocals on GarageBand.”

This bit of music wizardry helped Brown win The Blessed Unrest Cover Contest presented by Sarabfans.com, and snag a social shout out from Bareilles herself.

Perhaps Brown has a duet – or quartet – with Bareilles in her future.
