From the look of things, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik could be heading in one direction – romance – but sources still claim otherwise.

On Tuesday night, Hadid and Malik headed back to where it all started, The Nice Guy in Los Angeles, for a good night in good company with the model’s younger sister, Bella Hadid.

Bella and Gigi arrived together first and Malik then met them separately, but, contrary to other reports, a source tells PEOPLE “it wasn’t a date and there wasn’t any PDA.”

“They all had a fun time, but it didn’t seem romantic or like a date,” adds the source.

Rumors started swirling Sunday night post-American Music Awards when the model and former One Direction singer were spotted leaving Justin Bieber‘s after party at The Nice Guy.

“They are just friends and are casually hanging out,” a source tells E!. “She is not looking to jump into another relationship so soon. Gigi is a relationship-type kinda girl, but she wants to just have some fun and take time for herself and her career at the moment.”

Hadid, 20, and Joe Jonas (better known as G.I. Joe) ended their five-month relationship earlier this month.

“Nothing serious happened it wasn’t a dramatic break up,” a source said at the time. “It was just hard to make it work with their schedules. They will definitely remain friends.”

Malik, 22, called off his engagement to Perrie Edwards in July.
