Gifford in for Burnett

Kathie Lee Gifford is scheduled to make her Broadway debut this November, replacing Carol Burnett in “Putting It Together” for one night each week. Burnett opens Oct. 28 at the Ethel Barrymore Theater in “Putting It Together” (a revue of songs from Stephen Sondheim musicals), but she won’t play most Tuesday evenings. Gifford’s first performance in the show will be Nov. 9. Also starring in the show will be Bronson Pinchot (of the old TV sitcom “Perfect Strangers”) and George Hearn, last seen on Broadway in “Sunset Boulevard.”

  • In other Broadway news, Scott Wolf, who plays Bailey on TV’s “Party of Five” and was seen recently in the movie “Go,” is taking over the narrator’s role in the drama “Side Man” at the end of this month. The show is up for the Best Play Tony.
