The TV chef announced her split from husband Todd Thompson in December
Giada De Laurentiis is now a single woman – the TV chef is officially divorced from husband Todd Thompson.
The divorce documents obtained by PEOPLE state that the pair, who separated last July after 11 years of marriage, will share joint custody of daughter Jade Marie, 7, but De Laurentiis will pay her ex $9,000 a month in child support.
Thompson, a fashion designer, gets to keep the couple’s $3.2 million house in Pacific Palisades, California, and because there was no prenup, De Laurentiis must give him 50 percent of all net book royalties for books she published during their marriage and 50 percent of the unpaid advances to several cookbooks that she has in the works (more than $5 million). Neither of them have been ordered to pay spousal support.

The former couple are also dividing up various bank accounts worth more than $2 million.
The Food Network star announced their split on Facebook in December, writing, “Although our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family’s happiness has given us the strength to move forward on separate, yet always connected paths. Todd and I share a beautiful daughter and a lifetime of great memories that we both treasure more than anything.
